India Votes

Under the heat of the sun

And the lashes of rain

Stretches a queue

Way into the beyond

As India awakes to vote.

Breaking the barriers

Of caste and tribe

Communism and capitalism

Indians rich and poor

Flash the one ID.

The ID of a concious Indian

Who braves all threats

And challenges

For the dot on the finger!
